Bike&Food is an experience created especially for bicycles and food lovers. Two of Italy's great cultural heritages.
An itinerary for travelers who want to explore the secrets of a region where nature flourishes and artisanal producers thrive

We'll cycle in groups, guided by professionals on secondary roads and cycle routes, on assisted bikes or regular bikes depending on our physical fitness.
Each day we will visit producers, taste local delicacies and get to know the majestic lakes and mountains of northern Piedmont.

Conceived by an Italian-Brazilian couple: architect and artist Patricia Orem and chef and economist Felipe Bianchi, Casa della Capra is a destination for lovers of art, cycling and cooking, in front of the charming lake of Mergozzo, in northern Piedmont.

Lakes and Mountains of Northern Piedmont

Between culture, landscape and gastronomy, it's hard to define the main reason to visit this region. Around lakes Maggiore and Orta, elegance can be found in palaces, botanical gardens and sophisticated hospitality.
The mountains of Val D'Ossola, meanwhile, preserve medieval villages, traditional grazing, vineyards cultivated for generations and the wild Val Grande National Park offers contact with something more primitive and authentic.

This region has become a great destination for those who love cycling. These majestic mountains and valleys are home to the main producers for those who like to eat well. We are in the region of excellent gastronomy, with award-winning restaurants, famous for Nebbiolo wines, Bettelmat and Gorgonzola cheeses, Porcini mushroom sausages and Risotto.

about Mergozzo
Mergozzo
A charming town of colorful houses, churches, chapels and staircases built with local stone. A 7-minute walk along the lakefront leads to the main square, a place for events, meetings and a majestic historic tree: a 500-year-old elm.
​
The lake with the same name, is about four kilometers long and two kilometers wide. Its pristine waters have led it to be classified as the cleanest in Italy. A reserve for migratory birds, a place for triathlons, canoeing and ideal for for swimming and paddling in our SUp.

Our program is suggested at the beginning of the group's formation, according to their physical fitness. Changes in levels of difficulty, distance, altitude and duration may occur.

Reservations are also made by filling in the form provided by Casa della Capra and paying 40% of the price. The balance can be paid in up to 3 installments by credit card (charged on the 5th of each month) or by transfer to Casa della Capra's bank account. The deadline for payment of the total amount is 60 days before check-in.

Cancellation Policy
For cancellations up to 90 days before arrival, the amount paid is fully refunded. For cancellations between 90 and 60 days the trip, the amount paid is retained as a credit for one year. Cancellations less than 60 days before arrival result in a 100% penalty.If the canceling participant is replaced by another member of the in either case, the amount paid may be refunded.In the event of cancellation for reasons of force majeure, it is permitted to postpone the booking, free of charge, for up to one year, subject to by Casa della Capra.
